Background

Ts. Dr. Teoh Kok Ban is a Senior Lecturer at the National Higher Education Research Institute (IPPTN), Universiti Sains Malaysia. His work focuses on advancing higher education, human development, and organizational wellbeing by integrating research, counseling, and professional training to create meaningful and lasting impact in both education and society.

He holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior and Development as well as Master’s degrees in Statistics and Counseling. With this interdisciplinary foundation, Ts. Dr. Teoh combines analytical methods with human-centered approaches in his academic and professional practice. He is a Professional Technologist (Ts.) registered with the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT) and a Registered Counselor (K.B.; P.A.) with the Malaysian Board of Counselors, bringing together technical expertise and psychological insight in addressing complex issues within higher education and organizations.

In addition, he is an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer who actively conducts capacity-building programs, professional development workshops, and academic-industry collaborations. His scholarly contributions include editorial and peer-review roles for indexed journals, and he has received several recognitions for excellence in research, academic presentation, and leadership.

Beyond academia, Ts. Dr. Teoh is committed to humanitarian and community service with a focus on mental health, youth empowerment, and educational equity. He believes that lasting impact is cultivated through the combination of knowledge, empathy, and purposeful action. This belief continues to shape his teaching, research, and contributions to the communities he serves.
