This fruitful session featured an in-depth overview of the Centre for the Study of Higher Education (CSHE) with a presentation from Professor Ziguras. He shared CSHE’s strategic focus areas, flagship programmes, and recent contributions to higher education policy and practice. Professor Ziguras shared insights into the University’s current advancements in areas such as governance, student experience, teaching, leadership, CSHE staffs, and current projects. This presentation aims to deepen mutual understanding and identify complementary strengths between both institutions.

The meeting also included a dedicated discussion on potential avenues for partnership. Key areas under consideration include joint research projects, research publications and grants, academic staff and student mobility, as well as capacity-building programmes such as webinars, visiting scholar exchanges, and professional development initiatives. This exploratory session outlined a framework for sustainable long-term cooperation that leverages the expertise of both IPPTN and the University of Melbourne to advance higher education research and innovation.
