Majid's Biodata

Majid Ghasemy is a Senior Lecturer at the National Higher Education Research Institute (IPPTN), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). With an impressive background, he has held various significant roles, including being the former coordinator of the Global Higher Education Network (GHEN) Malaysia and a certified mentor for the Web of Science (Publons) Academy. Moreover, Majid holds the distinction of being a certified ATLAS.ti professional senior trainer, he is recognized as the sole EQS/EQSIRT consultant globally as well as a certified HRD Corp trainer.

In terms of education, Majid holds a prestigious PhD in educational management from the University of Malaya (UM). His research interests are diverse and encompass several critical aspects of education, including educational leadership and management, higher education policy, performance effectiveness, educational psychology, sustainable development, contemporary issues in higher education, and research methods. His proficiency in various statistical analyses, such as Monte Carlo simulations, longitudinal structural equation modeling, multilevel modeling, cross-lagged panel modeling, Item Response Theory (IRT) modeling, latent growth curve modeling, and bibliometric analysis has played a vital role in his research endeavors. Majid's passion for analyzing various types of data has also led him to actively engage in qualitative data analysis (QDA).

Majid's contributions to the academic world are reflected in his extensive publications in renowned journals. Two of his most influential works are the "PLS-SEM fast car" paper, which reviews the application of PLS-SEM methodology in higher education research, and the "PLSe2 = ML + PLS" paper, which serves as a guideline to implement the state-of-the-art PLSe2 methodology in the EQS statistical package.
